Trying to decide on 2009 Hot Springs Prodigy $2,900 vs 2014 Cal Spa Patio $2,550. Both are in mint condition. Seems like a no brainier to get the Cal Spa since it's cheaper, newer, and slightly larger but wanted a couple of opinions.

Depends on what you value.

Quality?  Go with the Hot Spring!
Energy Efficiency?  Go with the Hot Spring!

Flashiness?  Go with the Cal!

No one here likes Cal Spas.  If they do, it's only because they work for Cal Spas.

I've had a few good Calspas. But they are of lower quality. And should be lower priced. I would say even though the HS is older they are likely both going to last about the same amount of time from here. And the HS will cost less to heat.

Another vote for the hot spring. Even though it's 5 years older it's built to last a lot longer then a cal spa. If you live in a colder environment even more if a no brainer.

The Hot Spring is a much better built product with much better insulation but have you seen or sat in either? The seating in the prodigy is definitely not suitable for anyone over 5' 10" unless you don't mind having half your chest out of water while soaking
