Orca Jet of Arctic 2007 klondike legend
« on: July 21, 2016, 08:39:40 am »
Silly enough the outer part of the jet broke off and the inner part was very hard to get out. So i unscrew the black ring that's mounted with two screw's the next time i did a water replacement and got the inner part out. Put back the black ring and mounted the two screw's. Cleaned and refilled the spa and took a look at the inner and outer part of the jet. Glued it together (somehow two of the four retainer clamps got broken off.

At that point i noticed the diffrent holes in the inner part and the "pin" on the outer part, damn the jet can only be mounted in one way UNLESS I MOUNTED THE BLACK RING INCORRECT  :-\

So the question is, how to mount the black ring. At this moment the sliding space where the outer grey part's "pin" is sliding in is at the bottom, is that correct?

(the grey "pin" )

I think you need a new jet.   I think some of the jet back is still missing?

No, I think (almost for sure) that the jet is complete. Question is about the black retainer ring that locks the jet. Is it possible to mount it incorrectly by turning it 180 degree or is the construction so made that it will only fit in one position.
The retainer ring is also the guide for the Grey "pin" of the jet. I guess it should face to the bottom of the spa but am not sure. Since it is pretty hard to disassemble the het I would prefer it to do it once in the correct way.

When you say "black ring" you talking about the grey face the jet back attaches too  ?        If so pretty much why I said you need a new jet, you can try super glue maybe, but it will fail.   If you find one in the link I sent you, just do some internet searches from the part number and you will probably find it cheaper.

No artic guy in the neighborhood. Asked one guy and he has no answer.
@Jacuzzi JIM. The black ring is the ring the grey face attaches to, yes. The white pin's that takes a hold behind the black ring are ok, see the first picture. The pin's that attaches the grey front to the white part were the ones (two of the four) that failed. Now the grey part is glued with two component glue to the white part and I don't think they will separate ever again :)
No I did not find the jet in the link, only the later black model (my klondiker is from 2006/2007).

My concern is if I mounted the black ring 180 degrees wrong or not. The black ring has got a "slide" were the grey outer part can rotate about 45 degrees, thereby regulating some kind of water flow. At first I did not see this slide so I did not noticed the mounting of the black ring. What could go wrong with two screw's I thought.
Later on when I glued the grey part to the white jet part I noticed holes in the white part to regulate water flow and at THAT moment I realized I had to carefully check the mounting part and I discovered the slide in the black ring and the grey pin on the grey facing of the yet.

I agree with Jim that you need to replace the whole jet. Those can be kind of tough to get in. Let me do some checking to see if I can find you the exact part number for the replacement jet.

Edwin, I'm sorry. I really don't understand what you are describing. I emailed my rep at Arctic, and the original jet that you have, they don't stock any more. The jet that Jim linked is the replacement jet for that they said. I would think if you ordered a new jet, it should snap right in. You might call Arctic Spas and speak with someone on the phone in their parts or service department to see if they can understand what you are asking better. But, here is the link again to the replacement jet:

Thank you for the link.
It's hard to explain especially if English is not your native language. So I figured let's try it with an extra photo

Nr 1 => Connection between white and grey part of the jet. 2 of the 4 were broken and are now glued
Nr2 => The pin's that lock the jet behind the black ring that is mounted in the base of the jet with two screws. These pin's are allright. The base is the part that's glued into the spa where the pipes connect to.
Nr 3 => the pin that slide's in a groove in the black ring allowing the jet to turn about 45 degrees.
The black ring is the part of which I'm unsure if I mounted it correctly.
Sorry for all the confusion.

Well, that black ring should be screwed in, and not glued in typically. I think it can only go in one way. Here is a picture of a jet body ring I had in back. I think if you screw in the ring, and order that new jet, you should be good.

Water boy, your the best  :D
The black ring was in tip top shape. I dived into the spa, plugged the pipe and removed the black ring again. Turned it 180 degrees but that did not fitted as nice so placed the ring back and fixed the crews. Took the glued jet and clicked it nicely in place. Everything seems to work as it supposed to.
Everyone thanks for there help!
