Trying to find out what kind of hot tub I have
« on: July 13, 2015, 12:20:17 pm »
All,

I recently purchased a used hot tub at a really reasonable cost. I purchased it knowing that two jets are leaking and need replacement and a pipe needs a joint. There is no information anywhere on the tub or pipes indicating what the make or model might be. The holes in the spa shell for the jets are 2-1/2". I was hoping if I posted a couple photos maybe I would get lucky and someone may have an idea on what type of spa this is. That way I can locate the appropriate parts. Heres to trying to luck out!! :)

Thanks in advance!

Pretty hard to tell what brand it is, pretty generic.  And if you are replacing a couple of jets might as well do them all while your there.  Insulation wise where do you live, and do you have the topside control to run the thing?

Might help if the pictures were larger...like by a factor of 10
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

I live just outside of Dallas. I am going to be purchasing insulation for sure. I have some that came with it, but I'm going to replace it with better insulation. I do have the controller, it is not the original. It is wired already and works. The controller, pump, heater, blower, are all recently replaced. Most of the parts now are aftermarket. I need a joint to connect one of the pipes (a middle section is missing and needs to be reconnected) and the jets replaced that are leaking. I found a jet at spadepot.com that looks like it might fit. $30 a piece for the jet. Sorry about the small photos. I took them with my phone, emailed them to myself then uploaded them to flickr. This one has the same diameter hole as the one in the shell of the tub, it might work?

Spadepot will help you with free technical support too. You don't have to know which tub you have, just email them your photos and they will know what you need and help you with any questions too.
