Arctic spa 0-ring size
« on: September 26, 2014, 11:21:23 am »
Owning a 2007 klondike legend i'm facing some o-rings that are worn out from the diverters and the air controllers.
Somehow arctic support is totally not responding on my simple question about the proper size of the o-rings. They totally do not respond on what question whatsoever.
I do like the spa very much but support does not give me a warm feeling at the moment.
Situated in europe makes it even more dificult. If i order a part i would pay a big amount for shipping.

Does anyone know the exact size? Just measuring them would be difficult because the tend to become oval. To order them i would need the inside diameter and the round diameter of the o-ring material itself

Edwin, you can contact Arctic Spas directly at 1-800-309-1744, and ask for service or warranty department. They should be able to steer you in the right direction. They have changed the diverters once or twice since then, so if you have your serial number, they should be able to get you the exact one you need.

Those o-ring can be pretty easy to find. First if you find where they sell 1.5-2" o-rings and then get one out and bring it in to them. Plumbing supply place?

Even better suggestion. Any local pool or spa dealer should have them. Or a plumbing store as well.

The valves and the unions are pretty common at a plumbing place.

Big Box home improvement places. We have Menards, Home Depot and Lowes plus our local plumbing supply houses Ferguson Enterprises, Goodin Company that all carry them. There's only a few (10) sizes for those. Those could be the smaller 3/4-1" ones.

@Tman122. The small ones (inner diameter appr. 0,50" en appr 0,091-0,099" diamter) are no problem. The larger ones are. Still all sizes are a bit of a guess due to deterioration of the material.
@Water Boy. I was more hoping for an e-mail or forum response due to time difference since i'm living in europe. And no i tried a few pool/spa dealers allready. btw serial numbers are: diverter 602-0960 and air control 602-0420.

The sizes i have measured are (more or less)
small ones around the shaft: inner diameter appr. 0.50" en appr 0.091-0.099" diameter
large one on top of diverter:  inner diameter appr. 2.43" en appr 0.091-0.999" diameter
large one on top of air control:  inner diameter appr. 1.4" en appr 0.091-0.999" diameter

Edwin, I believe there is a Arctic Spas UK you can call as well in your time zone. You can reach them at 01527 882 369. Also, is your local dealer not their anymore or something? If they are still there, surely you can get the orings from them. You might also be able to find what you are looking for here:http://www.arctichottubparts.com/orings-and-gaskets-c-306_346.html

Sorry about that. It was working just a day or two ago. I'm not sure why they aren't replying. Maybe it didn't go through for some reason. Hopefully when you call the UK hq they will get you fixed up.
