2015 Marquis Epic
« on: January 18, 2016, 11:04:29 am »
First timers and started looking at tubs.  Went to a local dealer for Marquis and my wife of course loves the Epic.  Dealer had a 2015 floor model that was up and running.  He was discounting it since the 2016s are due to arrive.  It has some upgrades like the constellation lighting, radio system, cover companion, etc.  He offered a cash deal of $12k.

Not sure if that's a deal or not since I don't know what average cost for an Epic is and/or what the 2016s are going to be priced at.  There is a home and garden show next month and I know this dealer attended last year offering new models at previous years prices. Part of me says wait but I also don't want to miss out if this is a legitimately fair price.

Anyone out there with some experience that can shed light?  Thanks in advance

There aren't any changes to the 2016 model. We sell a epic with no options for between $11000-$11500 and with those option about 13,500. So you are getting it discounted for sure.

That's a good deal, we sell the Signature version of the Epic for $11,995 and sounds like you're getting an Ultimate or most of the features of the Ultimate Package.  Those options you listed usually add about $2000. Where are you located at?

By the way, the Epic is an awesome tub and my personal favorite.

We are located in Dallas Fort Worth area.

I got with the dealer today and asked about the specifics.  The tub we are looking at has Adagio Bluetooth Infinity Audio System, Constellation Lighting & Ozone. The Spa also comes with Steps, cover lift, delivery/setup, & 4 months of chemicals and the 5yr warranty.

It does NOT come with Microsilk, the aroma infusions nor the remote/wifi add ons.

We did talk price and he was willing to come down some.  Just trying to convince myself that spending that kind of money on a tub that has been operational in a dealer's business for a year makes any sense. LOL

Thoughts??

It's a good way to save money and the warranty starts from the time it's delivered. Plus you know the tub has no issues because it's been running in the showroom. Sounds like you're getting a pretty good deal

Those options make it basically an Ultimate model, about $2000 in options with what you listed.  I wouldn't be worried about it being a display model, like hottubguy said the warranty starts the day it's delivered, and it's the best warranty out there. 5 years parts and labor on equipment, plumbing, exterior DuraWood cabinet, and ABS DuraBase.  7 years on shell surface, 10 years on structure.
