Hello all-
Am hopeful to tap some of your expertise. I've been battling (really feels like it) an FL1 error code for months now on my Spa.
- I've replaced the filters and burped and burped and burped to remove airlock. No change.
- I've replaced out the Ozone check valves. No change.
- I've replaced the Flow switch (it is snuggly connected to the circuit board in the box; and the direction is correct). No change.
- In between each of these tries I've burped; turn off the power with filter out (for at least 15 minutes); Run it for at least 15 minutes with the filter out. No change.
Oddly -- throughout all this -- sometimes it works for a few days (meaning heats, responds to temperature settings) and then it shuts off at random times.
The two main pumps (1speed and 2speed) always work -- BUT i've recently observed that I'm not always getting bubbles from the ozonator...(when I do, the spa is working -- when I don't the spa isn't). So now my suspect is the circ pump - but would like to get your expertise before spending more money. Had the following three questions:
1. Do you think replacing the circulation pump is a good next step?
2. If so, is it as straight forward to replace yourself as the flow switch was?
3. Is there any chance the Ozonator not working can cause the FL1 code to flash?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.
Scott
