Cireculation Pump Problem
« on: August 26, 2012, 03:41:18 pm »
I have a Tiger River Spa made by Watkins. Sumatran Model N, and has a Watkins no fault 6000 heater, and a IQ 2000 Inside Electronic Control System, other spec's on the inside control panel is SIEB model 100-01212-01 part # 37307.  The circulation pump is a Watkins SilentFlow 5000 Part # is 37948.  I'm just trying to find it at the lowest cost, and free shipping.  I've looked on the net and the lowest I've found it for is $154 and free shipping.  Is that the best I can do?  I will look locally tomorrow.

Thanks George

FREE = something you pay for that's not itemized on the bill
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

You want the new E5 circulation pump thats been in use since 2009, not the one that is in your spa now. If yours had the SilentFlow 5000 get the adapter kit and use the new E5 type. If someone has one of the old types don't be tempted to use it just because its a simpler swap out and you won't need the adapter kit so you'll save 10 minutes and $31. You definitely want the newest type circ pump, its improved in performance, energy efficiency and longevity over the older one you had.

Your dealer will be able to help you but if you're looking on-line here's a good site that will help you on this and has some good info in general.

you won't find it cheaper locally...local businesses need to keep their lights and heat on, employees paid and insured, and their doors open...most internet business don't have the same type of overhead so margins will be smaller
