The diverter valve that switches water flow between the therapy seat and the main foot jets on our Sundance Altimar does not always work.  Upon removing the diverter, I noticed that a disk could be seen that was loose in the piping under the diverter valve assembly.  I was able to position it over the diverter valve input and it would block flow to the diverter outlets when the pump was turned on without the handle in place.  When pushed th the side of the inlet hole, turning the pump on after the handle was in place, the diverter would operate properly.  Is there supposed to be a flow control valve in the piping the has broken loose??

Thanks for the help in advance   ---   cdsalo

You are talking about the "flapper" to the "check valve" that has broken loose.  It is held on place by a black piece of rubber that has now separated.  Requires surgery for repair, can't get it out through the top.  You will need to open the area, remove the foam, cut the valve out and replace it.
Trying to be the unbaised voice of reason.
