GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER!

We've talked about how having the hottub close to the door in winter motivates you to use it more.  It also helps to keep the tub filled with fresh water.  This weekend we had a flash freeze.  We had near 60 degrees late last week which is uncommon in January.  But on Friday it went from 44 to 24 in just a couple of hours.  I woke up yesterday to 12 degrees was enjoying a early morning soak when, as usual, this is when I noticed the water level was down just a bit.

I did my last refill in min November and before Christmas put the hoses in the garage for the winter.  However, the last time I threw a hose away I cut off a section of beat up old hose about 6 feet long. Its just long enough to go from the spicket and hang in the tub.  I keep it outside in my chemical storage and since its short and can hang up, it doesn't have water in it.  Easy hook it up, run water, and put it back.

Here's how we do 'a short hose' in Southern Cal - my delivery guy filling a HotSpring Prodigy as I wrap up the paperwork... It worked pretty well. That's all I can say.

I use the same "short hose" idea as you.   It works well for a quick top off during the winter months.
