Sundance Cameo 2002 model died. Now OH flashing
« on: August 13, 2010, 09:50:03 pm »
Went out to use the tub tonight and nothing worked.  Display is blank.  Breaker is ok.  I am fairly handy with a meter and will check it out tomorrow.  It has been very hot here.  Was wondering if there is something I should check first that might of caused it?

I had flipped breaker a couple of times last night but still did not work.  Left off overnight and turned back on this morning and its working?  Will see how long it lasts.

I just checked tub during my lunch break.  OH is being displayed.  My setpoint was 99 and actual was 101.  I raised set point to 101 to see what happens.  Outside temperatures have been well over 100 daily.  I have my cirulation pump only running a hour a day which maybe I need to set back to 24.

Just got home and checked again.  Temp reading 116.  Checked with my instant read and it said 106.  Looks like I have a bad sensor.  Looks like it is in the filter cabinet.  Is that the right one?  There should be another one somewhere that is used for the limit.  How do I remove?  Looks like it comes out through the water side.  I am getting laid off of work soon and dont have much money to spend.  I would be thankful for any help.

I shut breaker off.  Will be a few days before I can get to it.

That's the right one.  If you don't want to deal with water coming out when you remove it, just drain the water below the sensor.  To remove it, you need to disconnect the sensor wires from the sensor loom attached to the main circuit board.   Use the tab on each side of the sensor loom to remove it from the board.   The Temp sensor wires are the top and bottom wires all the way to the right.

Use an undone paperclip or something else small to push the tabs in and they will pull right out.  Then just unscrew the old sensor, pull it through, and put the new sensor in the same place.  Screw it in and install the wires back into the sensor loom and plug the sensor loom back into the board.

Done :-)

Put new sensor in yesterday.  Everything looking good now.  Need new pillows bad.  Removed old ones for now until I can get new ones.  Time now to bring ph down.  Takes over 4 cups muratic acid to bring down after water change.
