Benny, I use something like that in my pool filter. Since we don't usually have lotions on when we go into the hot tub, I don't use it in my tub. If you are using your tub as a pool for the kids and they are wearing sun screen, it might help. Maybe others can comment.

Scum balls or dirty ducks work well, you can also use something like an enzyme type product added once a week.

In my old spa, we used Scum bugs, and whenever (yeah, whenever) I do get my new spa, I will probably use them again, since I am a lotion freak!!
