I can't remember a holiday season that I've been more thankful...
Cancer surgery was more than enough to bring this on however, what really made me think was having attended the memorial service for the two young girls killed at church by the gunmen.
These girls lived more and touched more people in their short lives than many will live in 70 or 80 years. They had been to several countries together and independently, helping people wherever they went. Listening to those that knew them best talk about how much life they put into those around them I couldn't help but wonder at how they lived so full in so short of time. It made me realize that life is a gift and to love more, share more and make a difference to others every day.
During the service I couldn't help but to hold onto my little girl with tears in my eyes and think that maybe these girls had reached their best and God was ready for them while many of us are still struggling with who we should be.
Their family drives over 50 miles from Denver to attend and other then the dads few days in the hospital, they have not missed a service...what an honor to stand with parents like that in this season...what an insparation to faith.
Regardless, I know that because of these in my life events I will make it a point to enjoy my family and my life more than ever this year. I hope that you all do to...
Merry Christmas
