Tub thieves make clean getaway

Local News - Brantford, Ont.
Monday, April 30, 2007

Nine hot tubs weighing 300 lbs. each were stolen from a West Street
business on the weekend, police say.

The hot tubs, worth a total of $25,000, were wrapped in Styrofoam
and tied down on skids. They were being stored at the premises of
another business that isn’t involved in the sale of hot tubs, police said.

These hot tubs are unique because the covers are attached and it’s
thought that the victim is the only one selling this brand in southern
Ontario. They are the type of hot tub that can be plugged in.

They were discovered missing on Sunday morning.

Anyone with information about the missing hot tubs is asked to
call police at 756-0113 and ask for the street crimes unit or Crime
Stoppers at 750-8477.
