Title: New Ozonator, Should I or not
Post by: twok99 on March 12, 2007, 01:27:47 pm
I have a 2003 Jacuzzi Premium J-370 and the ozonator has stopped working.  Should I bother replacing it?  If so, what are your recommendations.  I will be doing this myslf since the ozonator is out of warrantee.  Thanks.

since it's out of warenty, why not wait a bit and see if you notice a difference in water quality.

If you expereince no difference, then I'd say "Why Bother?".

1 - no more bubbles
2 - ozone icon light on control no longer lights up
3 - no more hum from ozonator
4 - discussion win Jacuzzi tech support regarding above

No water quality issues?  do you typically leave your spa unattended for several days?

I thought bubbles didn't necessarily indicate ozone present.....unless you mean the whole thing took a dump, in which case...I guess that would make sense. Could it be a loose or corroded wire, though? My thoughts on most things (unless it's something I don't like and want to upgrade from anyhow) is "start with the cheap fix", and work up from there....
Best of luck!

You should still have bubbles regaurdless of ozonator not working, possible bad check valves as well should be 2 there.

As others have stated its up to you to replace if you notice a difference.
