Title: HS Aria

Just wondering how this tub is selling so far.  Our local dealer said it wasn't doing too hot.

Well, I have sold more Aria tubs so far this year than I sold Accolades all of last year.

That's not a huge number, mind you, but it is a better tub in my opinion.

I like that it has both the recliner AND a high seat for cooling or for kids.

Most of the other tubs in the HS line have one or the other, not both. Now, it trades one low seat for that high seat, but I have had a lot of folks coming in lately asking for both and there it is.

Plus, the sound system is very nice. Not anywhere as unique as the Spaudio II, but it has tons of features and sounds very good.

Hey Chas

I have the SpAudioII in my Envoy, but I haven't had a chance to hear the stereo in the Aria yet.
How would you compare the two?
Does the subwoofer in the Aria have the same effect as the transducers in the SpAudio?
Just lookin for your general impressions since you've heard both

Thanks, Rich

Well, they are very different. The Aria has a sound system like most other tubs. That is: it has pop-up speakers and a subwoofer. The sub doesn't shake the whole tub the way the Spaudio II system does - but it does make the whole system sound very nice. The speakers are good, and the deck has plenty of power. It is a full-featured Aiwa Marine CD player, and it might be the only non-Sony deck that I truly love.

The remote control is extra on the Aria, but I highly recommend it. It offers tons of functions for the contol of the Stereo system. There are a bunch of presets on the EQ that can be selected from the remote. It's pretty flexible.

I have said that the Spaudio II is integrated into the spa like no other spa in the industry, and I stand by that statement. That is not putting down others, nor is it saying "Best," it is just saying than nobody else integrates the system into the tub and the overall experience the way this system does. It puts you into the music, instead of the other way 'round. Imagine diving into the ocean, and hearing wales singing to each other - or the very first music you ever heard in your life: in the womb. (Thanks Richard M) That's the level to which this system integrates the music into the spa experience. Then, you can add the external speakers for more traditional sound distribution into the air above the water, or into another area of your home. And, the remote control is included in the Spaudio II system, so you have in your hand the control for the sound, the choice of music - tracks on your CD, tracks on your iPod if you add the adpater, channels on the AM or FM receiver, volume and EQ, internal system and external system, jets, lights, colors, temp, and all other functions of the tub.

Which is best? Wow - I couldn't say.

Thanks, Chas

I was just curious about the differences.
I do really like the SpAudio on my tub, and the external speakers really bring the whole system together.

Got one in last year, set it up on Monday (my day off), first couple that saw it Tuesday bought it, delivered it Wednesday.  Just got a couple in last week.  Sold 1 to a guy over the phone, just set up the other on my deck today.  Gonna give it a test ride tomorrow.

Oops, I did it again....

Got it filled up this morning, first people who saw it bought it, we're delivering it Thursday.  Sold a Bengal and a Jetsetter this morning, too.  I guess spa season is starting a bit early this year.
