Title: What's a good price for a 2001 HS Sovereign?
Post by: squale on February 12, 2007, 09:58:39 pm
There is somebody near me selling a 2001 Hot Springs Sovereign spa, that has been kept outside built into a deck since they bought it.  The spa appears to be in very good shape, we live in NJ so the weather is constantly changing if that makes a difference for the life of the spa.

1.) What would a good price be to buy this spa for?

2.) Are there any major differences between a 2001 HS Sovereign and a new 2007 Sovereign?

3.) Is it wise to buy a spa that is 6 years old?  or do they tend to wear out at this age?

Thanks!

Did they give you a asking price? I'm not sure what a fair price would be--perhaps the HS dealers could give you some feedback. I'm guessing somewhere $2,500 or so depending on the condition.

Should be fine.
$2500 would be the most I would pay.
I think it was 110/220v convertable then, so a smaller jet pump with a 4 way diverter valve.  Most other changes would be esthetic.  No water feature.

2001...that just made me feel really old. 2001 was a great year for the sovereign it should run for ever.
