Wow that looks great! Unlike anything in the industry. Looks like the perfect family spa to me, I see a His and hers and an open area for other family members VERY NICE!!!!!!! ;)
-
Nice tub design but I really dislike the shell color.

-
They also offer pretty unique shell options, including stone.

How much does this Bad Boy sell for? It looks like a Spaceship.
-
That looks like a cool design. Don't leave a dark shell like that exposed to the sun with the cover off.
-
<Rob Roy>"The preceding commercial is brought to you by...." ;D
It looks pretty dang cool, like an F-22 Raptor.
If ever a spa needed a GE Minigun as an accessory, THIS is the spa!
I give it a 21 gun salute. :)
Off to the home show. Should be interesting.

Hey thats a  pretty cool design....
I like that fact that D1 seems to be developing new
designs and new ideas as far as the tub looks instead of
"the same old same old".
All kinds of different fountains/waterfalls
All kinds of lighting options....
And some different unique looking cabinets.
I am impressed with Dimension One Spas!

I bet it'll be a pain to get a replacement cover for it though ... hey Doc, what do you think?
-
I like the spa but the cover issue would be a pain, and for the size of the spa it only holds 414 gallons of water, you would think it would be upwards to 500 plus.

I give credit to D1 for thinking outside the box. There are some makers who try to be all things to everyone and one maker that always gets me to scratch my head with their 100 model offers (some so similar you wonder what the point is) in about 20 shell colors and confusing upgrades and jet options where they lose all semblance of order. On the other end, D1 seems to understand that if you're going to hold about 5% of the market why try to be the same as the other 95%.

I know.... I know.....CalSpas suck again!.....LOL
Can't you just put that in your signature line?
Oh and "poor old D1 at just 5%".
;)

LOL, how could you tell who I was referring to? I really wasn't knocking the product with that post, just the strategy I see as misguided and pretty much polar opposite to D1. If they really have a need to bring on new models I wonder why they don't make more bold designs like D1 rather than just coming out with more models that are already about the same as others they have (BTW, I counted may have exaggerated with the 100 model comment, I think it's really just a few over 90 ;)).
BTW, we're really sidetracking from the topic here so again, that is an interesting design ther by D1. Anyone know what that sells for?
-
re: we're really sidetracking from the topic here
Oh I know.........this was a D1 thread.....
you think you're telling me something new?...LOL
I think if there was a post about Thanksgiving dinner
someone in the CalSpa Haters Club on this site
would figure out a way to throw an insult...."between
the lines" of course!

How much does this Bad Boy sell for? It looks like a Spaceship.
retails for around $15,900
-
Great looking spa. It seems like it would be a nice option for many. I am guessing that retails above $15,000.00....lol...if so it becomes much less of an option for many.
-

:o Are you serious!
It's cool but not that cool. :)

John,
Where in Windsor are you located, I did not know of Factory Direct when we were shopping, is the store new?  I would be more then happy to support someone from this forum with chem sales and such.
Oh and by the way WHY NOT that $15,900 would be Canadian same price as high end Hot Springs around here :(

In.....,
Oohhhhhhhhh.... :-[
What's the conversion from U.S. to Canadian, eh?
Thanks
-
Thankfully I don't live in Canada ... I would have NEVER bought a tub at those prices!
-

WHY NOT,
The exchange rate right now is at about 15 cents, but generally US made products are about 20% cheaper on your side of the creek
-
$15,900... This thing better have moto jet for your legs feet neck and back for that price!!!

The Windsor store is new about to officially open in early March. 3663 Walker rd. We're taking over the spa business that’s currently at that address.
That $15,900 is in US dollars, (and not MSRP either) at today’s exchange rate of 1.19, Canadian price would be $18,900. It's bigger than the Lotus Bay, but smaller then the Serena Bay.
It's a unique looking spa, but at that price.... there are MANY options. :o

I would like to know haw many they'll sell at that price.
That's just flat out ridiculous!

John,
There are 3 dealers in about a 1 mile stretch there, are you taking over the dealership currently selling Coleman, Calspas or Sunrise.
P>S> glad to have you in the neighborhood :)

The location that sells Coleman spas. Timmerman Sunrooms & Spas.
Unfortunatly Coleman will be gone as soon as we open.
PS. Thank you
-
Thanks John, I'll stop by in March or the next time I need dichlor. I'll try to spread the chem sales between you and our dealer, I know its not much but every little bit helps.

How much does this Bad Boy sell for? It looks like a Spaceship.
I thougjht it looked like it was setup up for a family meeting so Mom and Dad can stare down the kids. I just started in the thread, Doc, can you do a replacement cover for this beast?
-

Nothing ever amazes me as much as that one spa that Coast did with the waterfall as the front of the tub. Goofiest looking thing I ever saw. Not sure if I still have the picture.
-

That's just flat out ridiculous!
I'm wondering what makes it ridiculous? It is twice the price of an average spa. So if the average price of a car is $30,000, then does that make all $60,000 cars ridiculous?

Hey Zep I was waling through Home Depot Sunday and they had a propane grill with that matched your tub. I didn't look too closely at it, but I wonder if Cal flame (sister company to cal spas) made it? It looked like it would match perfectly. :)
-
That's a whole lot of whistles.

Drew.....
I have seen those and I actually almost bought a matching
Cal fire-pit that had the Cal-Stone look.
But the way my house is situated space wise I have two small
but totally seperate yards....and I can't put my fire-pit and
BBQ grill in the same area as my hot tub.
So the hot tub is in yard at the back of the house
off the master bedroom...and fire-pit & grill are in
side yard off the den.
I could have still went with Cal but decided to go with an
O.W. Lee firepit who has a dealer a block from my
house.
I have always, always, always wanted a swimming pool
so I may just have to move in a couple of years to make
that happen....and then I might have the Cal Spa, the
Cal Grill, and the Cal Firepit that all match....we'll see.
Is this what you saw?
-
That's nicer than what I saw. The one I looked at has just a bit of the stone work along the sideds of the bottom, not the whole base.
-
Drew...actually if I move to a house with a decent size backyard
for a pool.....I would go with an in-ground hot tub seperate from the pool.
Which I suppose means a Sundance since they make an in-ground
line of tubs.
Or who knows I could probably put a Hot Spring in-ground
and make 90% of this message board happy!.....LOL Â ;)
ps: and I would purchase from Terminator!

Micah,
To answer your question, yes.
Now to the other stuff.
Let me guess, do you sell D1 spas?
How come no other major player in the game has a tub that's similarly equiped at that price? Or are you really saying that this tub is that much better than all of their top models?
Nothing like answering a question with another question, eh?
-
I just don't get what facilitates the need for three waterfalls.
-
re:"I just don't get what facilitates the need for three waterfalls"
I love my waterfall!
And it would be kind of cool to have options about which side you want the
water fall to appear on different nights or have all 3 waterfalls on at once
if you were having a backyard party.
Heck I wouldn't mind if mine could mimic the Bellagio fountains to set
the mood at backyard parties.

Why Not,
Your guess would be incorrect. I'm a Jacuzzi dealer.
There are several other spas that are similary equiped at about the same price. Coleman makes a model called the M7 and Coast makes a Mirage that fully equiped is over 15k
Just because you can't afford it, dosent make it ridiculous!
-
Just because you can't afford it, dosent make it ridiculous!
I know......what makes it ridiculous is how over priced it is but we already discussed that.
-
For what it's worth, I called the local D1 dealer on Friday and they hadn't even heard of this model yet but when they looked on-line, they said they'd call me today with the price. Got the call and it's not as bad as I thought it would have been.....all this for the amazing low price of $11,000.
