Looks like Glenwood Springs, Colorado. I've been there.  It's very nice.  I like the hot springs in Ouray, CO also.

Do you think using a bromine floater in that thang voids the warranty?

Every year I go up to Sunday River Mt in Maine (I tumble down the hill with 2 boards strapped to my feet).  At one of the lodges, there is an round outdoor hot tub.  It's your typical round, tiled industral hot tub with bench seating and a few simple nozzles.  However there is a plaque on the fence claiming it's the largest outdoor hot tub in New England. That struck me as odd, as the thing can't be more than 10' across.

My favorite "hot tub" was one I visted while in Costa Rica. Part of it looked like a standard pool but parts of it looked very natural

But my favorite part about it was the nearby heater which was easily visible from my hotel room...

Yes, those lights on the right side are from the town were the spas are located along the base of this very active volcano!

This view was similar to the one from my hotel room, which fortunately was far enough away to be safe from anything but a major explosion. It had a constant flow that was easily visible at night although this picture was a bit more vigorous than the time that I was there and I was never fortunate enough to have a completely cloudless view. It is typically shrouded in clouds, at least along the top.  :o

Only downside of going for a soak was if the heater "exploded" because the spa was potentially right in its path...
  ;)

Northern part of Costa Rica on the northern slopes of Arenal Volcano. Probably the most famous spa in the area (and probably the most expensive) is  Tabacon Spirngs but there are many spas in the areaI believe the nearby town is called La Fortuna.

http://www.tabacon.com/

The volcano is as dramatic looking as it appears in the pictures as it rises up from the valley floor to dominate the landscape.

This area and Costa Rica in general is quite lovely and because of the spine of mountains that runs through the middle of the country the terrain is quite diverse for a relatively small area.

I stayed on the North Coast in Costa Rica (papagayo) and the vocanoes were a few hours away.  Costa Rica is fantastic. But  If you go, and want to ensure you see an active volcanoe, do your research.

Tanstaafls, Those pics are wonderful!  :) Most of the folks we spoke to who did travel out to an active volcanoe said you couldn't see much because of the low cloud cover.

Anyhow....In the imortal words of Jimmy Buffett:

My girl quickly say to me,
"Mon you better watch your feet."
Lava come down soft and hot.
"You better lava me now or lava me not.

Cloud cover is indeed a problem when trying to view the very active Arenal volcano and needless to say those are not my pictures. Here is one that I did take that is a view from my hotel room.
The volcano seemed to be taunting us as the clouds would get almost all the way off the volcano during the two days I was there. But at night the cloud layer would slowly descend blocking the best views of the "fireworks". All of the lava activity while I was there was on the right side of the volcano in this picture while the town where the spas were located is on the left side.

But even with the low cloud layer you could easily see flaming chunks of lava come tumbling down the side of the volcano on a constant basis.
Those orange spots you see were flaming bolders of lava that came tumbling down the side of the volcano. I am told they can be the size of cars or bigger! The wisps of grey smoke behind them mark the path they take as they came tumbling down the side of the volcano.

Seems like heating with electricity would be cheaper, and far safer.

Cheaper is hard to say since the heat was free!

Safer? Absolutely, as long as the critters don't chew the wires and set it on fire!
