Title: Clarathon Filters Any Good?
Post by: bohms on January 16, 2007, 06:43:57 pm
Ok, so my dealer has not gotten filters in for over 2 months now.  We gave up on them.  My husband found Clarathon filters online - a 2 pack for $66.95 at Spa Depot.  Any use these?  Are they good filters?

I have never heard of them but they probably are not bad and will work.

Are they 50 sq ft filters and are you sure they'll fit my Piper Glen?

Clarathon are paper type filters.  I bought a set based on price, but wish I'd gone for Unicel/Puracel filters with polyester media.  Some folks said they purchased Unicel on E-bay at good prices.  Otherwise, I think rhtubs sells them, too.

I've ordered Clarathon for years. They are great filters made by Pleatco, not paper filters.

I've used them in the past and found them to be as good as unicel.
