As Harry Carey used to say........Hello everybody!
I just came back from a 3-day work stint in California.
As most of you know, I'm still without tub-at-home.
So, when I travel I take the liberty/precaution of assuring the hotel has a hot tub. This establishment's tub was outside but, I didn't mind that.
Well, upon returning from a hard days work I prepared for a well-deserved soak. I checked at the front desk as to the exact tub location.
The desk person responded "Oh, I'm not sure if the tub is ready for usage. Not many people go in this time of year. It's a little too cold, isn't it?" It was in the 50's.
I just laughed and said thanks.
As I walked back to my room fighting back the tears, it hit me. I now realize that this is a gigantic intergalactic conspiracy to keep me from soaking and/or ever getting a tub! Ever!
I have since run an air hose from my air compressor into my bathtub. It's not that bad for the first two minutes!

skip the air compressors, just eat beans and sauerkraut....you'll be rarin' to go! (WARNING: do NOT try this near open flame)
Yanno, in those sun soaked places, 50 IS chilly...but when you're used to getting brain freeze by just walking out the door on the way to the car, it's pretty mild.
Good luck getting soaked!

What part of California?
I would have been glad to let you soak in any of our tubs.

You are soooo right. I lived in Northern Cal for about 25 years. I would say I grew up there, but my wife claims I have never grown up.
Go figure.
