Yeah, lack of snow and warm temperatures are doing a number around here, too.
Lakes are unsafe to venture out on, resorts and related businesses depending on snowmobilers are suffering, and the cross country ski trails remain closed.
Most of the ski hills in this area make their own snow, so they are open.
Mild temperatures make for nice hot tubbing, lower heating bills, so it's not all bad.
We just got some snow on New Years eve, only about 3" and most if it will be melted by tomorrow.

Well,
I had 5 ft drifts around my spa twice in the last 2 weeks....By the time I got it shoveled out I really needed to get in the spa.
We had so much snow on the Divide that my Hummer got high centered.
-
yeah no snow here in new york, or at my other house in vt. its been so warm its gross out. I have seen many a hummer high centered before.
-
We have had .1" of snow this season. I only turned the tub up to 104 once when the nights were in the 20s. I guess I could buy some colorado snow on Ebay.
-
no snow in VT but I went skiing at mt snow last week. Not bad conditions considering it was all man made.

My slope opened for a week in mid December, but it hasn't been cold enough to even try to make it. They say below 26F for at least 3 hours.

I'm with you, I want snow too. If it is going to be cold and gloomy, I want it snowing - otherwise, I want it to be warm and the sun shining.
Since I grew up in the South, I've seen very little snow in my life. Now that I live in an area that gets a few snows, I love it!

You know, come to think of it, we haven't had any snow around here either.
For the past five decades.
Hmm.

there's a ski hill witihin 3 miles of our home...we go by there on our way to town...I bet they're BUMMIN' now. January in Wisconsin and they can't even keep FAKE snow on the hill!! :-?
-
I say, NO SNOW. We sell less spas. ::)Ice for icefishing is good.
-
We got ice, not enough for driving but plenty for fishing (8-12). We have brown ground here in Northern Mn. 41 today.....life is good!!
-
You know, I do miss the snow. Its 48 degrees out and the landscape is just kind of brown and grey and boring. A good snow fall would really look nice about now. The trees and plants are all very confused, we have hostas in our back yard that are spouting in January :o

We have to have at least one good snow with flat flakes falling while we soak. We will probably get it in April.
