Hola spatopia crowd,
I did a quick search in this forum and found a few quotes for a SD Optima. One was $7,600, another was $8,800, and another was $9,000. This is quite a large range so I wanted to do another quick poll to see if anyone else wanted to share their purchase price for a new 2006 or 2007 Optima. Please include the answers to these questions:
Tax incl in price?
Come with Ozonator?
Which Steps were included?
Delivery Incl?
Which Cover Lifter incl?
Your Location:
Anything else incl in price?
Was it new from factory?

It might help if you let us know where you're from. Prices seem to vary according to area. ;)

I went through the same research for a 2006 Optima back in August. I found quite a range as well, with the average before tax coming in just under $9k. That was with cover, lifter, ozonator, and delivery, but no tax and no stereo. I paid $9400 for mine equipped as such, plus $600 in tax for an out the door price of $10k even. I'm in Colorado Springs, CO. Just got out of a nice 40 minute soak while reading a good book in my Optima actually... :)
You'll definitely find some amazingly low prices (in the $7k range) but know that that is NOT the norm.

We pruchased in mid-december. The spa will be delivered in the spring when weather will allow us to lay down a concrete slab.
We found that december was an excellent time to shop for a hot tub... Not only for the prices but for the service. Around here, people are simply not shopping for pools and spas this time of year. We basically had the show rooms and reps to ourselves, and plenty of time to schedule wet tests. This was the case at all the dealers we visited.
We were told at 3 different Club Pscine locations that Sundance was offering a 1 500$ rebate on several 2006 Models (Maxxus, Cameo, Optima). From what the reps were saying, we understood that it wasn't an in store markdown but a Sundance Promotion/markdown.
I hope this helps.
