Well, two things -- this 4' drift outside my door and the 30mph sustained winds! It's funny how everyone says hot tubbing in a snowstorm is the best. I beg to differ! Not in these conditions!!! :D

Get out there, you wuss!
-
You wimp! ;) ::) ;D

I can't wait to soak as it snows ... of course I'm thinking gently falling snow and NO wind.
I have soaked once in winter breezy conditions (5 or 10 MPH) and it was miserable getting out and I never did it again.
-
only one thing stands betweenn me and my nightly soak is shoulder surgery! :'( :'( I'm not sure when I can go in. I hope only a couple weeks! ::)

Hey PG if you can post a few more snow pics that would be GREAT! As a suffering eastern skiier "winter" so far in the NE has been horrible. It would be nice to live vicariously through our Western counterparts.
How much snow are they calling for in your parts? Can you please send some this way????????
Thanks,
Marc

PGRIDER,
As a motorcycle rider you should be ashamed. Going into hairpin corners at 100 mph plus and now you tell me a 4' drift of snow is keeping you out of the tub. Make all your fellow motorcyle riders proud and get out there NOW and soak like the man we know you are. Then let us know how wonderful it was. ;)

Snow is great! Wind and/or rain is a different story.

Scary:

Gores95, we've gotten so much snow here this year it's not even funny, especially in the mountains. Having grown up in Vermont I certainly remember lots of snow there, but of course the skiing here is worlds ahead of what it's like back east...

The North East will not get snow this year.....I bought a plow...... ;)
-
But how cold is it? It looks cold. I say stay where your at!

Paul, you made my day with those pics! For the first time, I am bringing my kids out west to ski the second week of Jan so let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. Hopping on the Amtrak in Naperville, IL and getting off at Fraser for 4 days of powder city at Winter Park. And if my son urges me on, I may just take a few rides on the Volkswagon moguls at Mary Jane. My goal is to come home without any broken bones. I hear a big storm is hitting that area again today. Keep in coming!!

Wow, thanks for the pics pg. My spa cover experienced about a millimeter of frost last night for the first time. I thought for sure it was going to get damaged. I sure wish I could take a tub with snow piled up around my backyard.
-
Tonight we are suppose to get 6 -10 inches of snow in South Dakota.
If we dont get the wind, I will try to be in my tub tomorrow.

We actually had more accumulation during the blizzard in October, but the winds were much worse this time. I was truly scared driving home as you literally couldn't see more than maybe 50 feet in front of your car...
From October (cover doing it's job :)):

Wow, that chair looks inviting. Great pic.
-
that reminds me of last winter, I had a tuke on, bathing suit and flip flops out shoveling the back patio and tub area. I could only imagine what the neighbours were thinking.

And I put $200 in repairs into my snowblower.
The snow shouldn't stop you from soaking, but I'll give you the wind.

22" of the white stuff at Winter Park in the last 24 hours! Now that's a snowfall. Here in Chicago - NOTHING! All that we had from a storm a few weeks ago is gone and is currently raining. A few degrees colder and we'd have a beautiful white Christmas. Darn that global warming!

PG, this is great. As you may know, one of the traditons of Festivus is the "Feats of Streagth". This year, your feats of streagth could be rolling around in the snow and them jumping back into the tub.
Actually it's quite fun. Fun as in "it feels like burning". If this is your first winter with a hot tub, you are required to do it.

Just shoveled that SOB snow drift (my feat of strength) and I'm going in for a morning soak since work is shut down. Following my soak shall be the Airing of Grievances... A Festivus for the Rest of Us!!!! ;D

A donation in your name has been made to "The Human Fund"
;D :) :D

Not a bad soak after all...

Please tell me that the radio is running on batteries. I wouldn't trust a GFI that much.

Boy, am I glad I don't run on testosterone!! That would look like the challenge of the week, otherwise, and I'd not be able to pass it up!! ;D

You guys are nuts.
I had to boat out on the lake last Friday, and the only thing that kept us from waterskiing was that "it was a bit chilly."
Sheesh.
8-)

Is that a BOOM box I see preparing to take a swim? I am only one state north of ^^^ but we do get that here about once a year. It's not even been close yet this year though. Still hoping for that snow day so I can play hookie and take my 10 year old to the mountains for some skiing!
