Title: Non Chlorine shocks; Is there a difference?
Post by: drewstar on October 25, 2006, 11:23:49 am
I've been using the term "MPS" to refer to my non chlorine shock (Leisure Time's Renew). However, I understand it's not  Monopersulfate,    but rather Potassium Peroxymonosulfate.

Is there much difference?

Same thing, its in the name:  Potassium PERoxyMONOSULFATE  Mono Per Sulfate

Just a fancy way of saying it. Notice the Oxy for Oxidizer.
