I have a 2006 sundance optima that was delivered and installed with a 50A configuration. I have thought about upgrading my breaker to 60A (My wiring is sufficient). I believe I need to change a jumper on the Optima in order for it to use the extra Amperage. Could anyone help me with the correct change/configuration to do this? Thanks!

Go to the rhtubs.com site and check their forum. N1oty posted the Sundance/Jacuzzi jumper information a few months ago. Couldn't your dealer supply you with this info?

There needs to be a jumper on JP9-7 to take advantage of the 60amp features. There should already be a jumper on JP9-9, so the one above that is the one you need to put the jumper on.

I assumed there was one needed on JP9-7. However, I do not know what one I can remove. Any ideas?

There is usually a spare jumper at the top either across JP9-1 or just on one side of it. That one can be used. If there is not an extra jumper, use the jumper on JP9-5. Removing that one won't really do anything.

Can anyone tell me if mine is jumpered correctly? Electrician is coming shortly and I want to make sure this is right! The delivery guy configured it but he seemed a little unsure of himself. I see that JP9-7 is jumpered, but what about the rest of the pins? Do they look correct? JP9 has pin 1 jumpered to 3, has 7 jumpered, has 9 jumpered, and JP19 and 20 don't have anything.

I am fairly sure your setup is correct. The jumber that connects 1 to 3 is just an extra jumper being 'stored' for later use. I did the conversion to 60A and it is great that the heater will stay on with all the jets and blower running.
Enjoy the tub. It is fantastic!

Thanks for the reply. Everything seems to be working -- turned on both pumps and the heater icon stayed lit. :)
