Bill, I would probably buy the same tub all over again. Would you try something else if you had to do it all over again?

Bill

You didn't include Maybe as an option

I am very happy with our tub but would probably look at others if shopping again

Been there, done that-yes I bought a different model (from SA Reward to Epic ) from the same Marquis dealer and I would do it again.

Not enough choices Bill. What if we want a different brand, yet we are still happy with our exsiting brand.

I'd definitely get a Sundance again, but I think I would get the Optima instead of the Cameo - I find I don't use the lounger as much as I did on my previous spa and having another couple over occassionally would give 4 corner seats with the Optima.  My only regret.

I agree with not enough choices.

I like my dealer, like my brand (so far, so good) but I may buy a smaller tub and wouldn't buy neck collar seats. Those seats really don't get used. With a smaller tub, it may have pushed me into a Platinum class Artesian but who knows.

In my case, Dynasty no longer has a dealer in my area.

We sometimes wish we had gone the other way,  we have a small tub and wish we had gone to the larger 562 model

I would definitely buy another Jacuzzi, but would rather have bamboo shoots shoved under my fingernails that give Oasis Spas in Orlando another dime of my money.  They are out of business but reopened under a different name although Sundance won't allow them to carry the brand.  They are the biggest lying crooks I have encountered in ANY business and I have been in timeshare for 14 years!!!

I'd certainly consider the same brand again, but I'd also shop others, just to see what's changed over the years.  But my dealer isn't selling spas anymore, so regardless of what brand, it'd be a different dealer.

I think the operative word for you is "we", my operative word is "I". We don't soak, but I do so that's why a smaller tub might fit the bill.

Wanna trade? ;) ;D

Yes I would definitely choose the same dealer, Coquitlam Beachcomber,  and I would still choose the same model Hot tub.
I am very pleased with this purchase which is two and a half years old now.

Regards, Zz :)

While happy so far with my tub and dealer I probably would at least look at a couple of other brands that I did not look at originally. Chief among them would be the Artesian Piper Glen although that tub would no doubt cost more than my current tub and I am not sure I would be willing to pay the difference. Ultimately it would depend on my impression of the dealer, the wet test of course and exactly how much more it would cost.

Variable speed pump for each corner seat would be very appealing!

The alternative would be to go down to the Emerald which appears to be a similar tub to mine, although slightly smaller. But if it cost about the same or more I probably would stay with the one I have.

Same brand! (CalSpas)
Same dealer! (Spa Warehouse) http://www.spawarehousedallas.com/
Same Model! CalSpa SQ-92
Same Cabinetry - Cal Stone
Same Color - Sterling Marble

Only change would be....I would purchase the LED Waterfall.

My 385 is a good tub and I am not sorry I bought it, but......

I would like a smaller tub.  Perhaps 6x6 or 5x7 instead of 8x8.

The idea of full filtration is also intriguing.  Since my tub is indoors, it isn't that big a deal, but it does offer more protection for the pumps.  I am not willing to pay any more money for it though.  If our tub was outside it would be a different story.

I want more drink holders and flat spots on the rim on the tub.

My next tub would also be deeper.  The 385 is 36 inches, but I am 6'7".  A seat 40 inches might be nice.  Hard to say what the right depth is until I sit in it.

We NEVER use the waterfall, so save a few bucks by not having one.  The lights are a nice touch so keep those.

It would be nice to have a diverter valve that uses one of the pumps to drain the tub.  I am very surprised this hasn't been done.  There should also be a drain at the lowest spot of the tub to fuly drain all the water.  The shop vac is a pain in the butt.  Maybe I am using it wrong.

I am happy with Jacuzzi and the dealer but I would consider a Hot Springs next time if the dealer wasn't an idiot.  I guess that would be all I'd do differently.

I like the Caldera ( Geneva ) that I got my wife really like it but I think we both would have loved the D-1 ( Diplomat ) that I was looking at but one salesperson told me that it might cost around $8400 but when the second salesperson knew that I really loved it the price went up by another $700 and they would not come down on the price, so much for honest salespeople.

but that

just me

Definitely same tub and same dealer.  No regrets....although, we are still in the honeymoon stage...only having had the tub since June.

I would like a remote control for the cover lifter though.  Now that there have been some chilly nights, it sure would be nice to just press a button in the house and then make a mad dash to the tub.  When getting out, we can dump the chemicals and run to the house, letting the chemicals circulate for a few minutes and then hit the button and have the cover close.

After four years with my spa, I would seriously consider the same spa again.  There are also a couple of others I would look at closely, but my list is very short.
