In retail, I mostly used;
HEY, WHERE ARE YOU GOING? YOU CAN'T LEAVE YET!
In all seriousness though Wisoki is right. These terms for the most part mean nothing to the average consumer and there are many names that mean the same thing from manufacturer to manufacturer. These marketing people spend many a sleepless night coming up with this stuff!! ;)

Term, I think he means ...like No bi-pass filtration...things specific to your product.
Like Marquis touts the smart clean system-It is a concept and it makes sense..and is easy to explain to the customer... ;)

but seriously, I only refer to the lingo on the options of a spa. Ozone, genesis, ABS, but usually only if I'm speaking to a technical person or engineer who usually like to know the details like that. Most of the time I'd have to aggree with Wisoki n Steve. The words themselves do not mea a lot to me or most folks looking for a spa. The exitement, the feel, the sensuality, the prestige, the relaxation and rest and reprieve... these words I use more. I usually stay away from "puffery" words like "best" and the like. I'll talk to folks like we are sitting on my couch at home... not like I'm in a showroom. Seems to have worked well for the few years I've been in the industry.

I think that good sales people know how to read customers. For example, if people don't have a clue, you would tell them of all the wonderful benefits of a spa....general info. If they have been shopping for a while and are comparing...maybe circ pumps, or no circ pumps, you could explain the differences, and how your product works and why it is better. When we were shopping and our sales person mentioned "smart clean", the concept made perfect sense to me and my husband...we liked the idea of automatic filtration right after we soaked. So throwing around those terms specific to manufacturers does have it's merits. But you are right, Amanda they are only meaningful to people who want to know that info.

Customer point of view:
When I ask you the price, tell me the price. Don't invite me into your office to talk about the price. >:(
Man I hate that.
