I know i haven't posted in awhile, but i wanted to say that everyone was a great help in our decision to get our Sundance Majesta and share what we've accomplished so far.
We have a real severe privacy issue with a two story townhouse complex behind us so we had to come up with a better solution than an angled patio umbrella! So we built this gazebo out of redwood, i still have to add the peaked roof with the gray translucent polycarb panels this weekend probably but it's almost done (the wife insists on a roof so it's four season usable). Thanks to all who helped out a spa newby!

Thanks! I designed it myself after seeing the price of the kits, it's 12'x13' and i was in shock seeing similar sizes on the net in the $3500-5000 range. All total I'll have about $1200 into it when done.

WOW and WOW, that is very nice! I think you have found a new calling!
For me I like it just how it is! Ya a roof would be nice in for the rainy days. I stil like to star gaze (thats just me) Do you live in a area that gets snow?

My guess is no considering the palm trees... ;)

Thanks! No snow thank gawd! I live in California's Central Valley, the winters can be real cold and real wet hence the roof. That's why I'm using the see through gray roof panels so you can still see out.

Loos great! I like the see through roof plan. Also looks the lawn cutting chore is a breeze in the backyard as well...

It's California....what lawn cutting chores? :)
I'm not all too familiar with his part of the world, but my sister-in-law lives in Monterey, CA and what they refer to as lawn cutting is hardly what us folks in Tennessee would call a chore. :)
