We'll soon be opening another Spa/pool store 15-20 miles away as the crow flies.
Many of you are dealers and professional business people outside your soaking antics(no pun).
Can you give a young man some advice as to some of the things you may have experienced while you were doing something similar?
Some info about the new spot- Watkins spas, Bioguard Pool and spa products, Big Green Egg Grills, TEC Grills, A/G pools, Pool stuff, 1500-3500 sq. ft., High traffic location.
Any input is appreciated.

Yes, don't trust whitey.
Also, besides that, I would suggest investing in a large flat screen plasma TV you can put on the wall. I have one hooked up to a laptop and a wireless network.
It is a great sales tool to be able to put up a picture of any of your spas in any color the customer would like to see. You can also put spas up for side-by-side comparisons as well as put your spa up beside your competitors' in order to point out the differences. I have sold many a spa just by showing pictures to the customer.
I can also pull up relevant threads on this forum and let people read them.
On busy days, I pop the HotSpring Customer DVD in and let people see the factory and how the spas are made. If there are little kids, I put a movie or cartoons in and let them watch while I fleece their parents.
I can use the Detechtive Program to show them how easy it will be to get parts for their spa now or 20 years from now.
I bought a Circuit City brand ED model for around $2k. I take it to home shows, boat shows, etc and it is a crowd pleaser. We're putting them in our 2 new stores in Tyler and Shreveport.
Good luck!

Don't lay low wif da fidgets and chucklin' in yore stomach.
Also, keep some good beer and a cigar humidor handy as these really create a "just sitting around in the back yard drinkin' and shootin'" atmosphere and helps to put people at ease.
A nicely appointed mood room is a MUST have. I'd guess that 80% of my sales are closed in the mood room.

If you are putting all that stuff in a store, you'll want to go bigger. The 1500 sq. ft. location would never work. As a consumer, I want to see as many spas as I can in one store. I also don't want them stuffed into the store so it makes it difficult to really look at the spas. Also, please have more than one spa with water. When I was looking, I went to places that had no spas with water and some with only one. I couldn't really get a feel for the spas that way. Also, don't make it look like a pool store.
