He decided to let us close the store for a long 4th of July weekend. Our annual hot tub truckload sale doesn't start for two weeks, so it's usually slow for us during the 4th.
I'm headed north to Lake Sakakawea with some great friends for four days. The boat is ready, the fishing has been great, the weather is perfect, spent a small fortune on fireworks, and I have a big bottle of Bombay gin. 8)
Here's wishing everyone a great and safe 4th of July. It's great to live in the land of the free and home of the brave.

Explosives, boats, and alcohol, sounds like the making of a fine weekend indeed.
Nice you live in a state where they let you have fun on the 4th. Too many goody goodies in the Minnesota house and senate to consider giving us the good fireworks. I bet that Wisconsin and South Dakota sell more fireworks to Minnesotans than they do to their own people.
Enjoy your weekend. Keep all 11 fingers and 12 toes, though.

Make sure someone takes pictures. Term needs new material.

Well they just announced a ban on fireworks in the county that I live in, however our lake cabin is in another county that has had lots of rain so we're still going to be able to light up the sky.
Last year after the fireworks were over the northern lights appeared and mother nature gave us an awesome show.
I'll take some pictures of that whopper walleye that I'm going to catch.. ;)

A county ban? You're in North Dakota, right?
Maybe some ultra goody goodies from Minnesota moved out there and got into the local politics.
If that's the case, sorry bout that. Send em back, we won't notice them as much as you guys might.
PS-
I have a bunch of relatives in Mandan, New Salem, and Judson.

I am in Mandan. Who's your relatives. We always seem to know everyone up here
.
Have fun Spahap. Catch me a fish. We are hanging here and attending Mandans standard bash. Incidently, I have 1.75 literof Tanqueray #10 to keep my tonic water happy this weekend. However, you got me on the explosives and the boat though.

There are several Gratz' and Kautzman's in Mandan that I'm related to. Most of them are uncles and aunts.
Also I have several cousins with the last name of Glaser.
Out towards New Salem, it's mostly Norton's that are relatives.
