She asked me to post about my experience switching from bromine to dichlor. So here you go:
The only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner.
I find it a lot less work, and less expensive to boot. But I was using Brilliance's bromine, which is relatively spendy compared to other bromine I've seen, plus I can only get it at a couple places in town.
Anyway, using Vermonters method overall is way easier than always chasing the bromine level- it was off the map one day, and not readable the next. Plus it was driving my Ph and alk down so I was constantly adding Ph up and baking soda. Not sure if it was the MPS or bromine or both that was taking my Ph and alk down.
I'm way happier so far on dichlor.

You made a believer out of me. It was partially your postings on dichlor vs bromine that got me to switch.
Thanks!

Ouch, I just hurt my shoulder patting myself on the back.

How could you pat yourself?
You've got no arms!

Thanks Brewman, I will use my cartridges up and think about the big switch.. In the back of my mind is this little voice saying...something about soaking in a chemical bath.... ;D..I would just like to try and water changes in the summer are no big deal...
