Title: Epic Question
Post by: Bonibelle on March 13, 2006, 02:44:36 pm
All this circ pump, bipass filtration stuff has me wondering....I know my Epic doesn't have a circ pump and I understand the concept of how Marquis filters during 2 cycles (default) in 24 hours and a clean cycle after you turn on jets or use the tub. But since I have been outside around the tub more with this nice weather, I was wondering why the #1 pump kicks on when it is not filtering or heating the spa. Is  that to allow an accurate temperature measurement in the tub? Or did my husband mysteriously set up yet another filtration cycle in the tub while he was looking for the waterfall light? thanks

If you are in standard mode, You spa turns on each hour for 2 minutes to do a system check. Also it turns its self on once every 12 hours for 5 minutes regardless of your setting to purge all your lines.
