Title: Gulf Coast - yes or no

Also looking at another dealer who has GULF COAST spas.  So the story goes,  they have a Gulf Coast normally retails for $12000, for around $5900, Model LX 11000.  Thoughts or history please.  This forum is very helpful for all.

It'd be interesting to know how many of those $12,000 tubs they've actually sold for $12,000.  I suspect the answer is zero but I could be wrong.

fletch, you stole my line.   You can call it 12k, 20k or even 100k tub but at the end of the day it is still only a 5k tub.

Now that is sales tactics misleading.  Wouldnt you agree with that?

I guess I should clarify my thought.  I agree they will call it any "retail" they want and we all know that's bunk.
So my REAL QUESTION IS:  Who gives Gulf Coast a thumbs up and who gives a thumbs down, and why?
I love this forum.  It is super helpful and I can't believe how many participate and help.  I hope to do the same soon once we become official "soakers".

Here's how I answered the last person that asked about Gulf Coast.

But since you asked...
gulf coast was formerly made by a company called HydroSpa and private labled as gulf coast.  Just this past fall the gulf coast "owner" decided that he wanted go on his own and build them in his own factory.  So technically, gulf coast has only been building their own for a few months.  When they were built by Hydro they were mediocre at best, now I would not want to speculate on.   Personally I would let other people be the guinney pigs.

The only time I have ever heard of a spa frame failing (in a back yard as opposed to raised on bricks) was a Gulf Coast. Less than 2 years old.
