It seemd that on my jacuzzi 355 that the 24 hour Circulation pumps always on......
My friend has a old sundance says that the 24 hours should be off, because COLD air get in the spa and cools it down?
Should it be off?In the manual it says that it pumps warm air into the spa....
My friend says that the water should not be moving at all {Still ] all day...Except when the Pumps runs during the day................JohnnyT

24 hour circulation pump....circulates water for 24 hours (hence the name), except, if I remember correctly, when the jets are on.

The circ pump pumps no air into the spa. It circulates water. Best to run 24/7, IMO.

T-Lady and tony and absolutely key-wreckt.

Johnny your circ pump does not put any air into the spa unless you have ozone. you can adjust the time the circ pump runs on a 355 and yes you will hardly if at all notice it's on just by looking at the water. if you have ozone the mazzei injector draws air in to the water but it's not cold air.

Yep I have ozone and see all those air bubbles all the time on....Can you shut it off or would you ratter have it running all the time...Friend told me that the Air will bring the temp down in the spa,but then again his is a 15 year old sundance....Thanks JohnnyT

The bubbles of ozone started as air drawn through the ozone generator. The air source is the warm air space in the equipment area. The moderate air temp, and fact that the ozone volume is just not that large compared to the total volume of water makes me think any effect on the temp woulld be negligible. In fact, the heat of the circ pump running 24/7 would cancel out any losses due to ozone bubbles. In hot weather, the circ pump can actually heat the water above the set temp without running the heater, that's wjy your spa has somthing called "summer logic". It shuts the circ pump off in very hot weather if the spa temp creeps to high above the set temp. This is more of an issue on inddor spas, or spas indirect sunlight all day i n August. To sum up, keep that circ pump on 24/7 like the other guys have said. It helps that spa stay sparkling clear. 8)

I think your friend may have been referring to the air jets from the air blower that SD spas have. Those you turn on and off whenever you like and they can bring the water temp down.
The tiny amount of air drawn in by the Mazzei Injector is not going to affect water temp at all.

Actually Johnny, put you foot down there by the circ pumps outlet. You should find that the water coming in is considerably hotter than the tub temp.
The circ pump runs 24/7 to help circulate and filter the water, inject ozone if so equipped and helps to maintain the spa temp because the pump itself generates heat.
That's why the circ pump only turns off during an over temp situation, to prevent the additional heating generated by the pump when you are over temp.
