Today we went to a dealer who sells both Caldera and Cal Spas. I have to be honest and say I was totally disappointed with the Cal Spas.. I mean just all around I think they are a junky tub. I don't see how they can even compete with everything else out there on the market. Apparently they offer full foam insulation as an option only when it's pretty much standard with other spas we've checked out so far.
The Caldera spa they had in the "special" room was suppose to be their #1 seller (can't remember the model name). It was full of water and ready for someone to wet test it. I couldn't believe my eyes when at the bottom of the tub was a nice amount of dirt!
To top it off the Saleslady gave us so much mis- information. The longer I stood and listened to her the more disgusted with her I became. The whole experiance was a turn off.

A good dealer can make the sale on any brand. A bad dealer can loose the sale on any brand.

sorry to hear about your lateset shopping spree. cal spas seem to have alot of love/hate concerning their tubs. some people have had no problem and enjoy it, while other cant seem to find a good word for them. if you check the "beating a dead horse" forum in the "general" area, there are numerous topics concerning this.
but i am a little surprised by the saeslady. was she new? did you point out her mis-quotes to see if she would retract/phrase her comments?
what other manufactureres have you considered/looked at. would like to hear your feedback to what you dis/liked about brands/salespeople.

Salespeople have to come to the realization that consumers, for the most part, are not ignorant. The internet has made instant information available and consumers are coming into the stores with a general idea of what's true and what is hogwash, as they should.
The old time sales tactics of fast-talking someone into a deal are long gone and it's time some salesfolks get with the program.

Terminator, do you mind if I print that up and post it in the break room and let the old timeshare boys see it every time they go for a soda?
PS.. How do you guys put the quote in those nice boxes?

By all means, gussie it up a bit and use it to set them folks down the right path of customer relations. All I ask in return is a week's free stay at one of your fine establishments. ;D
I just type the word "quote" inside these brackets [] at the beginning of what you want quoted and then type the word "/quote" inside the same brackets at the end.
That's it!

Almost....you have to put the "/" (backslash) in front of the end "quote".

There's a "quote" icon in the upper right hand corner of every single post in this forum. Just click it on the post you want to quote, or you could select the quote icon on the "post reply" screen. It's the second one in from the right on the bottom row of buttons (Above the smiely faces).
Me? I need spell check. ;)
