Are you saying that the water isn't at the indicated 103?
Did you check it with a thermometer?
If so, how far off is it?

Does the tub show "set temp" or actual?  My Tiger river, made by watkins (same as Sundance) shows the set temp, and when it has reached the desired temp the "ready" light comes on.   Are you sure you are reading the display correctly?

I would also double check the temperature using another thermometer. Something could be wrong.  103 is pretty damn hot.

Sundance's show actual temperature, at least our 2003 Optima does.  Not sure if they've change that for the new ones.  When we fill with new water, the reading shows the actual water temperature, and the reading gradually increases as the water heats up.

Just as Brewman said. My 2005 Optima shows actual Temp. How hot do you want it to get? I think they are regulated not to go past 104.

They are regulated to set for 104 max.  But it's hard to tell from the original post what exactly is the issue.
If his tub is set to 103 and the temperature indicates 103 on the panel, he could have a problem if the actual water temperature is much below that setting when checked with an accurate thermometer.

A thermometer and dealing with your dealers service department should get your questions answered and back on track. Good luck and let us now how everything works out!

Just curious about this statement; I thought Watkins made Tiger River and Hot Spring...didn't know they made Sundance.   (or were you just "scratchin' my leg" as Term would say? ;D)

Oh, and my '05 Maxxus displays the actual temp, and when it says 103 or 104 I kind of have to "ease my way in" to the tub...plenty hot enough for me, so if yours doesn't feel that hot, you may have a calibration issue, as others have indicated.  Good luck :)

You are correct.  Sundance made by Sundance...owned by Jacuzzi.

Typo, he meant to type "HotSpring".  He was busy scratching himself and wasn't paying attention.

thanks everyone for their help...

i set the cycle duration  from 1/2 hour(factory) to 1 hour for all 4 cycles and that seemd to help out...

still will have the dealer come out  to check the temp. sensor
