Title: Replacement Hot Tub Cover
Post by: z71tahoe193 on December 05, 2005, 01:40:07 pm
My roommates dog recently decided to chew up my less then 1 year old hot tub cover. I have a Tiger River Siberian and need to have the cover replaced because it is the cold months now, and would like to sell it soon. He will be paying for a replacement but I would like to stay away from the OEM because that one is pretty expensive.  Anyone have any suggestions of high quality covers for a good price. Thanks for all yalls help.

Ok. I've pondered this a bit.......... Why would you buy a cover from there when they give you so little info about their covers, and you can't get a delivered price without "jumping through hoops"?

Did you purchase a Watkins cover assist with the tub? If you did you can only purchase a replacement cover made by them. They have a special bracket installed in the cover so you can attach your Cover Cradle or Up-Rite.

ummmmmmm, actually, I think it's a $10 option and we put the "bracket" in the cover to attach a Cover Cradle or Up-Rite too.

Seems like a nice way to "lock up" the future cover business for that spa.

naaaaaaa, it's really quite basic. All the "bracket" is, is  3 pieces 6" long 20 guage "angle iron". 2 embedded into the sides of the foam and one on the back side, held in place with a combination of double sided tape and duct tape.

You could probably even install it into an existing cover, as opposed to installing it as the cover is being constructed.
