Title: Marquis Summer Mode
Post by: East_TX_Spa on November 29, 2005, 05:11:15 pm
I need ya'lls help again concerning an off-brand spa. ;D

A lady bought a house with a Marquis Spa in it.  The Marquis dealer went out of business about 4 years ago and she can't get anyone to service the spa.  She can't get the temp to come above 80*.  Anybody have any suggestions?  Thanks!

I just went and looked at the owner's manual online.

The horror...the horror....the horror.....

By-pass valves, shut-off gates, soak timers, filtration cycles, heating modes, error messages, ughh!  I need to debug my computer now to get those images off my hard drive!

She's just simple country folk and doesn't know how to call long distance.  My store is right across the street from where she works so it's easy for her.

I have the answer..... right now she is in summer mode, which is the night candle, she needs to light the 4 winter candles, located in the heater box, to bring the temperature up to an acceptable hot tubbing level.

Went and bought one last night.  Got another Sony Cybershot.  This one is 7.2 megapixels, has night vision, and works underwater.  Wait'll you see the shots I get now!

Yeah, she told me she thought the pump was out as well.  I told her the little squirrel running around on the wheel that powered her spa probably was hibernating for the winter.  I'm gonna catch her a jackrabbit and upgrade her spa's performance.

Marquis?

A quick check would be to open motor covering and check to make sure the hamster is still alive.  ;D

You're lucky she didn't go to a Marquis dealer because you would have lost that Envoy sale to an Epic!; D

Count me in on this deal!  You two could model the spas and I could write up the orders!!!  Then, I could model for Term which would send all the customers to our store. Term is starting to worry already. :)

You guys  might want to puruse the BS section of this site, notably the  GUN threads before you decide to put Term out of business.    8)

I've got a better idea.  The ladies could sell the HotSpring Spas and make tons of money.  You and I could sit around drinking Shiner Bock, smoking cigars, shooting guns.  Then we could all share in the money!

Tell me a better plan than THAT!

What a GREAT idea, Term. I must bow to your amazing knowledge and wisdom!  :D
The only better plan would be to add Brook to the "team".  ;)

Ok, but that means we have to turn in our hamster powered Epics...are you ready to do that? ..What am I talking about?..I still don't have my Epic. I think Brooke and Cappy should model, I can just give the customers a lot of BS  and sell custom robes and plastic stemware from the Dollar Store.

It sounds kinda like the truck bringing your spa is hamster-powered as long as it's taking. ;D

And if the business goes south, we could always start a basement organizing/cleaning business! Do they have basements in Texas?

Yes, it's where we keep the liberal subversives that we capture.

No, you would be given the opportunity to see the light.  You would be taught to take responsibility for your own protection, to provide for yourself and your family and not rely on the government to do so, to help those who help themselves, how to make yourself immune from alien mind control, how to fry a Twinkie, and how to drive a forklift.

If you refuse or are unable to learn these concepts, then it's off to the basement with you.

That's what's great about this country. I read these rantings from the dissillusioned right and still think "you're out of your mind but you're still OK in my book". BTW, I hear W is considering eliminating milk and peanut butter from the acceptable food list in the WIC program and replacing them with scotch and deep fried Twinkies.
