Title: Pictures

I posted a picture following instrcutions from NE-Phil posted on 11/9.  But when I pull up the post, all I get on my computer is a small box with another small box inside with an X in it where the picture is supposed to be.

Are any of you seeing the picture?

What can I do to see the picture?

The picture you were trying to use may be on a site that doesn't allow it to be referenced to another site. I'm not sure which message you were talking about, so I added a pic to your previous message so you can look at how it is set up.

Thanks for the reply.

The post I was referring to was "Making Progress".  I used the exact same format that you did.

I think the problem is with my fire wall of security settings.  Maybe a pop-up blocker or something.  I just don't know how to fix it.

I see the problem. to use the IMG feature the address you listed has to be the actual picture file ending in .jpg or .gif.   Take a look at my pic again.   Your other message was referencing a web page with a picture on it not an actual picture.

Mendo......You need a server that will host your pic/s.  Possibly your provider offers those services? If not,I know of a few free sites that provide hosting services.

After you have your pic/s uploaded to a hosting site,you can then link the URL to this site.

Here are a couple of sites that allow you to host pictures for free:

Check 'em out. I like greatestjournal.com, it's what I use if I'm not using my web site to post a picture. There are quite a few free photo posting sites out there. Search on them using google.
