Hit the tub last night at 26degrees f turned jets on high, just to be confronted by foam.... :-[
The high wind blew alot of it out of the tub....
What are the best steps to rid the tub of the "dreaded foam" ??? ???

Physicall scoop out what you can. I keep a container of defoamer around. I don't very often need to use it, but the stuff works great- add just a little and foam goes away. I probably end up using the stuff once per year, give or take. Dont' rely on that stuff too much though, it's more of a band aid than anything.
The best strategy is to eliminate the cause- usually detergent carried in with swim wear. Don't wash your suits in detergent- just rinse them out in plain water.
If the foaming problem is annoying enough, change water and start over again.

Thanks Brewman....
I put in the foam stuff,,,, also realized the bromine was low so added that,,, gave it a shock treatment and it is running now with the cover open....
hope that should resolve the issue...
thanks for the input...

I agree completely with Brewman, but I'll add you can add even less of the foam out by adding it to a spray bottle and spray it directly on the foam. Many people even dillute it in the bottle. When you use foam out though, it captures the stuff that makes foam and attaches it self to it and allows it to get filtered out, so don't forget to rinse your filters in a couple of days.

I gotta remember that hint. The spray bottle is a good idea to reduce the amount of de foamer even more.
