Title: Vanguard arrived
Post by: newriver99 on September 30, 2005, 05:23:54 pm
After looking on and off for five years our HS Vanguard arrived today.   We are just waiting for the water temp to get up to try it out for the first time.   The Hot Springs dealer (Phoenix area) and the people they had to install the hot tub were just great.  Now we just have to understand and get the chemistry right.
I do have a couple questions:
    1.  Dichlor in before each use even if use is 3-4 times a day?
    2.  Test before adding chemicals?  Do I have to test before I add the dichlor?

Now I always preach patience while shopping but 5 YEARS? Maybe you were holding out for some of the latest features in spas! ;) Congrats.

1. Maybe a teaspoon or 2 if its getting multiple uses streched out throughout a given day but typically not.

2. I do not for a dichlor add. I add dichlor per use without testing the water (I already know the chlorine residual is very low without needing to see it on the test strip) and test once per week for alk/ph.

Everytime we decided to look a hot tubs something would come up and we did not want to spend the money.  Then summer would come and it was to hot to go traveling all over looking.  Actually, this time,  my wife wanted to spend the money on fencing our property but we can wait on that.
Thanks for the info.   I'll probably be asking more questions as time goes on.  Everyone says it is pretty easy.

I started out there but went out to Scottsdale because they had a Vanguard with water to test.  I almost was going to go back to buy it but I found out the business was a family business.  So the brother in Scottsdale shared with the one at Bell. It made me feel better since Bell is closer for me to do business in the future.

We have been in the Vanguard the past two days and it is really nice.  I like all of the jets at every seating position and my wife really like the moto-massage areas.

Congratulations on the purchase of a wonderful spa!  I have had my Vanguard for 2 years now, and it is still a love story!

May I officially offer you my blessing of always having hot, clean, bubbly water!!

Enjoy Spatopia!

Enjoy it, congratulations.

1.Dichlor after each use.

2. yes, for first two - three weeks. This will give you a good idea as to how the spa water reacts to your usage. Then it will become second nature.

was in my SOLANA TX this morning watching the news, sipping a coffee.

Have fun with it.
