-
I haven't heard, but tell me more...
-
working them too hard, for not enough pay? do i hear a union forming?
-
Someone brought it up on the poolspanews.com site and I to wanted more info...

Those poor people who work for Leslies - they do seem over worked and seem awfully young to be "managers" and their store usually smells of chlorine (not surprising with 100's of chlorine canisters about), at least my store. I'ts got to take it's toll on them!

I'll bite. Who is Leslie and why does eveyone but me seem to know about her store(s)?

See how uninformed you are by living in the northern frozen wasteland? ;)

HotTubMan,
Try this: Leslie's Pool Supplies (http://www.lesliespool.com/)
They're popular in many parts of the US.

They have been rapidly buying up small companies in the last few years and then trying to dominate the market with low price in the beguining only to slowly raise it and just do sale flyers that draw new customers.
IMO anyone that attempts to dominate the market with price alone is hurting everyone....Buying on a larger scale is good and passing those prices on to customers is better however they have lost their local dealer feel with corporate structure and are starting to feel like a dollar store
