Title: Where do you guys drain your old water to?

Do you drain it on your lawn? Would there be any harm draining it into the sewer via the street? Just trying to look at all options of where to drain the old spa water. Thanks!

I just make sure the sanitizer level is down to 0 (2 or so days with dichlor) and then we just drain out into the backyard.

We run ours into a pond we have behind the house.  Our lot drops about 5' from the spa to the pond, and I think it may help the water flow thru the drain better.

In our souther Cal town the tap water has a higher pH and more chlorine than water coming out of the spa. So, I can drain anywhere.

I dump in 50 gallons of bourbon and drink mine.  :-/

Seriously, I drain ours into our cottage garden. I have noticed that the trees and plants seem more relaxed after 15 to 30 minutes.

I run 200' of line,and drain it into my neighbors basement.

I drain mine right onto my grass if I haven't hit it with Chlorine for the last 24 hours and into my nosey neighbors yard if I have ;) ;D

Actually, if you are showing a high Chlorine content before draining and are worrying about damage it might do, simply put in a couple of bottles of over-the-counter peroxide and run the jets about an hour with the spa cover open.

It will be pretty harmless to anything at that point.

I drain mine into the yard.   For some reason, I can recall someone telling me to make sure I don't  drain it near the vegitabel garden.

Anyone know if spa water could cause a problem for vegitable gardens?

Yes,
If you eat the contaminated veggi's you it will mess with your ability to spell the word vegetable..... ;)

Again, it depends on the chlorine content.

Well that explains quite a bit then.Obviously I am letting my tub drain too close to the vegetable garden.  :)
