Title: to lounge or not to lounge?
Post by: firemanjoe on August 29, 2005, 08:11:26 am
The reason we debateing the Reward or the Destiny, is do we want a lounge seat or not. We like the lounge seat but friends tell us they don't use it that much. Also we have young children and the foot area of the lounge would make a good cool down seat for them. Any comments.

Something you have to figure out for yourselves by wet testing.  Opinions on loungers vary.  Personally, we didn't care for it.  Lots of others love them.

Yep - wet test is a must, especially with lounges.  Usually there is always a seat to fit everyone.  But with only one lounge, they usually are designed to fit taller folks.  You have to check overall length of the lounge, plus the length from hip to knee.  If hip to knee is long, you may not be able to bend your leg naturally, almost guaranteeing you'll float and not be comfortable.  I know first hand from wet testing.

We have the jacuzzi 355 and I do enjoy the lounge.  I'd say its my favorite seat.  I'm 6'1" and it fits me quite well, and I don't float.  the end of the seat is used as a normal or cool down seat, and when you sit cross ways in the lounge it doubles as a corner chair.  So it's turning out to be much more than just a lounge seat.

but definitely wet test.

Do you like stargazing?
Will your spa be located outside?
If yes to both, a lounger is a must! 8)

That is what my daughter uses it for.  Our lounger is the least used seat, but I'm glad it is there for when I want it.
