Well it was a real bad day, lots of rain again. I started thinking that the tub was not going to come today, but to my suprise it arrived. It was scary and exciting all at the same time.
So the tub came in the back without any issues. The electrical was spot on and worked right away. They assembled the bar, stools, steps, planters, cover and lifter.
I had my crash course in chemical use and then they were off. The tub only took about 1/2 hour to fill 540gal. The tub went from 54 to 81 in about 2 hours. I went to the store and laminated everything that I needed and finished off the back with dirt and some other stuff. Put out the fireplace and now im ready to go.
My wife son and I jumped in around 2pm. I was only about 83 and a little cold for my enjoyment. My son and wife loved it. We had so much fun. It took a good hour to figure everything out.
After the little guy went down we went back in it. The tub was 98 and warm.
I really enjoy the big tub with great deep seating. I find the jets to be incredible. the only complaint about the new 2005 arctic jets is that they spin left to right to turn them on or off. i dont really like it but I can live with it.
I find the control system easy to operate and really like the lay out of it. I am going to be really getting to know the tub, and yes I can finally say it, I am in spatopia.

Finally!
I gotta admit....it's been kinda nerve racking following your story Bosco! I just hope the tub is everything you'd hope it would be!
Congrats and Enjoy!!!

That sure heated up fast for 540 gallons, which model did you buy again?
-
That is awfully fast heating.
We get maybe 4 to 5 degrees per hour.

I got the tundra model

WOW, that is fast heating! My 400 gal tub takes about 12 hours to heat from 55 to 100.
The "maiden soak" was the "fun soak" for me, playing with all the knobs, turning on/off light, changing the colors and turning on/off the air control to see what it all did!
Now that I have it a while, I have relaxing soaks and love it! Come out feeling like melted butter - a great feeling!

Maybe it heated so fast because it was recovering the heat from the pumps......and because it is hot in our province right now. When I was selling Coleman I was very impressed with how fast they heated, among other things.
Boscoe, I see you live in the HAMMER. What part? Mountain East/West? Westdale? East end? Just curious.
-
Gosh yes that was a fast heat Bosco..mine took 3 hours to heat to 98 degrees from 56 degrees..only took a very short time to fill it though. Congrats hun on your tub I hope you have many years of clean hot bubbly water.

Columbus, Ohio. 1. I have no sales skills whatsoever, and probably less skills in running my own business. 2. Capitol. (or is it Capital?)

hottubman. How do you know the term, the Hammer. Not many do, it seems to be people in my line of work that know that term.
I live on west mountain. Where abouts are you and what do you do for a living. I have an idea but I may be wrong.

I live in Oshawa, work in Whitby. I sell Hydropool hot tubs.
I went to McMaster. That is where I learned the term Hammer. Lived in Westdale and downtown. More recently I lived in Burlington and worked at a store I would bet you shopped. It is the one you can see from the 403/QEW @ Guelph line.
-
I know it very well. I use to work for the Burlington OPP. That was right in my area. Just on the north side of the QEW.
The HAMMER is right. Not many people can understand the hammer until they see it. What a crappy crappy city. Mind you, I feel bad that you have to work in Oshawa. Oshawa and Hamilton are two of the worst cities for crime in Ontario. Very nice eh!
Anyways westdale is student run and a real fun place to work sometimes.....
Any time you are down in the Hammer let me know, ill meet you down at Hess Village and we can throw a few back.

Official blessings of always having hot, clean, bubbly water!!
Congrats, Bosco!

if it's hot enough outside i think it helps quite a bit. i just did a drain and refill on my niagra (500 gallons), and due to our record setting heat wave we have had going on the water came OUT OF THE TAP @ 86 DEGREES!! i drained it when i got home early on a friday10 days ago, about 4pm.cleaned it, and stated refill at 6:45 or so...
about 8:45 (yes, for the first time in a long while, i got sidetracked and overflowed the tub...the deck is nice and clean though) i powered up and thought something was wrong, as the temp read 86 degrees, yes, fahrenheit........
felt the water. was cool, not cold, just cool to luke warm.
by 11 pm it was 102 and ready to go..... i should mention that this was one of those 98 degree days, where the heat index was about 110. by 11 pm the temp had dropped down to the low to mid 90's, so it felt a bit chilly... ;D ;D
