Title: Nasty yellow scum line-please help!
Post by: mrskansas on August 14, 2005, 09:43:15 pm
Ok, I've had my Marquis for about a month, and now today I open the cover, and there is what looks like yellowish cottage cheese around the water line & skimmer, along with some foam.  I wiped off the yellow stuff and turned the jets on, only to find TONS of foam, and the reappearance of the yellow cottage cheese.  I am freaked out because I have never had a foaming problem, and there are only two of us who use the tub.  All chemical checks are ok.

Any ideas?  Water is also cloudy-which is new.

Not sure what to do.  I can drain, but if I don't know what caused it, I can't prevent it from happening again  :'(

Please help the newbie!

Thank you!

Clean your filter.  Make sure your filter cycle is on.

Mrs Kansas, this isn't unusual for a newbie, I think everyone sees it at least once.  As mentioned if you see it on the waterline, its on the filters.   Shock heavily, rinse the filters and take a look at when how often you add santizier.

Also think about who is wearing too much body oil and stuff.
