Happy halloween!
I had my annual Pumpkin carving party this past weekend and it was a huge hit. We had about 40 folks and 20 pumpkins! here are some of the better ones:
This one won 3rd place:

This one came in 2nd. It was pretty neat. It was rigged to a motion sensor, so that when you walked by it, the tongue started flapping about, and the pumpkin played "I want to Rock and Roll all Night and Party Every Day..."

This is Kenny, he and his wife have come to my party every year for the past 8 years and always missed winning by a few votes. This year, they bribed us all. They carved a serving platter, served shrimp, carved an ice bucket and poured everyone champagne, and handed out chocolates. I guess it worked, since they were voted the best. The tux was a nice touch:

Some other pic:
My friend just came back from India. I think she was inspired:

Anna Nichole Smith showed up. Her nipples actually lit up: (I really like that in a woman) :)

This one was carved very well...

We had some great props this year, but my lovely wife has not yet uploaded all the pics. If any folks are interested, I'll post more later in the week.
Happy haunting!
Oh and to make this "hot tub related" I didn't go to bed till 3:00 a.m. (it was a wild party). To help recover from the party, a soak Sunday morning really helped with the post party "aches and pains". :)

However, his girlfriend almost lost her head out front:

I think the spikes in the dolls head was a nice touch.

This was an animatronic monster head inside a giant globe that I bought. Folks really enjoyed it:

My wife bought some window coverings:

And at night, with a light behind them they looked really neat:

Still waiting for other props pictures to get posted.

That just looks like a GREAT party! I, too, love Halloween, but can't get most folks around here really into it. Looks like ya'll have a blast. I can just see you roaming around in the woods swinging a chainsaw doing the Leatherface dance!
We did something a little tamer...Trunk or Treat at our church.
Meet Batdaughter and Hannah Montana (our neighbor Holly):

Batdaddy and Batdaughter arrive on the scene:

This little boy loves Batman and wanted his picture made with him:

This little boy hates Batman and didn't want anything to do with him:

Savanna made a hole-in-one and won her daddy a new Lincoln Town Car! (I wish...she did give me a Tootsie Pop though)

Aren't those a great effect? Every body has commented on them. I'm usually not one to give up my sources, but for you...
