What temp do you keep your spa at during the summer months? Is there any effects on maintaining water specs at lower temps I should know about?

Summer temps for my Coleman are ranging from 98 and 99 in the cool of the mornings and towards evening (we kinda like it warm in the morning at 6am and in the evening at around 9-10pm) I have been here lately keeping half of the cover off so that my temps go down a bit, usually around 94-92 degrees is good for me, I'm not in it alot during the really hot temps of the day (mid day it's been getting in the high 90's) And as far as slugish temps I asked taht a few days back and got a response of 40's are usually slugish for chems. Hope this helps

I have it set for 99 and with a 24 hour circ pump in 80+ temps, it gets to 101. As Backpains said then you can control the temps a little easier by opening up the cover to let the heat escape. My wife likes the temp at around 99, I like it at 101. I tend not to go into the tub when it's too humid out.
As far as chems, all chems should work about the same as before except possibly dichlor - the lower temp may let it linger around longer.

98 when its really hot out sometimes we bump it up to 99 or it does that on its own. No effects on chems at all.

We're in NC and its not only hot but also very humid. We keep our Optima at 92 mostly in the hot summer. It feels refreshing. We also have a garden hose hooked up with a misting nozzle that we run sometimes to rain down on us.

I have mine set on 93 this summer. I also have an awning to help keep the sun off during the middle of the day.
