Title: Fixing a full foam leak
Post by: Rayman on June 15, 2005, 08:47:59 am
When the dealer is fixing a leak in a FF tub they dig out all the foam to find the leak.  My question is, what is the proper procedure to put the foam back?  Are they supposed to spray it in or use a foam packing material?

There are two part chemical tanks in various sizes to "spray" foam chemical in that expands and grows.  We will also "back fill" with dry foam chuncks that had been extracted as filler.  We continue to spray foam in until the spa is again well insulated.

The size of the job, determines the appropriate size of the tanks.  Spot repairs are done with 1 to 22 "board" feet and get progressively larger.  We use tanks of 180 board feet so we are prepared for any job.

S0 Iam reading this right.  Dry foam fill on the inside then hard spray foam on the outside.
