What kind of hot tub do you own?
Please include brand, model, capacity, and any comments you wish to include. I would love to see a lot of consumer comments as opposed to dealers, as I am shopping for a tub myself now. Thanks! :D

We have had a Caldera Niagara Utopia for 2years now and can't think of what life would be without it. Between our hectic life, daughter getting married, tax time, and waiting for spring to get here, twice a day isn't enough for us.
-
We've had a Marquis Reward for almost a year now. It's a 6 seater, witha capacity of about 1300 litres (I think!)
We wet tested loads before actually choosing the Reward, and to be honest, all the bigger names were fine, we just decided that the Reward fitted us better.
We have no kids, so we weren't looking for a huge tub, and I really fancied the Everyday range that Marquis did.
The only reason we didn't go for that range was that we needed the Dura wood surround, as our tub was going into a corner of our garden, and once the tub was in place we would never have been able to treat the two side that were in the corner.
Ps -can anyone show me/tell me how to post pics on here pls??

You said it before I did.
Dynasty Renaissance 4000
(http://www.dynastyspas.com/models/excalibur/images/Renaissance4000.jpg) This is the layout. The tub is 2 years old this month and going strong. We bought the textured surface in the "moonscape" color.
The tub is billed accurately as a 6 person spa with 425 gallons, 2 -4.8hp pumps (7Bhp) one single speed and one dual speed. This design does not have deep molded seats so you don't have to sit in exactly the seat the manufacturer designed, which I do a lot to get the maximum therapy.
Dynasty has drastically changed the models for 2005, and the changes look pretty good. However, thier website hasn't changed since we bought our tub in '03
Our choice besides being sold on this tub were based quite a bit around the dealer and salesman. They were the first to actually make a deal and come off the insane sticker prices in our area.
Oooops! I was busy resetting Chas' post count to zero and forgot to login as my self. - Wmccall[/b]

hottubber here,
Own a 2004 Sundance Optima, Platinum Marble with gray synthetic cabinet and stereo, 485 gallons. I absolutely love it.
Unfortunately, I am in a position to upgrade annually, and I do. ;D
I love the Accu-ssage Therapy Seat and the whirlpool jets, those are my favorites. The foot jets are nice also.
For all of you who are still searching for the RIGHT spa for you. Wet test all of them that you are interested in and get it done, the purchase that is. You don't know what you're missing...
;)

Sundance, Optima, 485 gallons.
Brewman
-
Sundance Cameo, 485 gal, love it.
-
Jacuzzi J-345. 5-6 person cap. 1280 litres. (sorry Canadian here). Great mid priced tub.
It's got ozone, led lighting, synthetic skirt (coastal gray) with Sahara granite shell. Jets are very powerful and it provides good options for seat heights and jet configurations.
It's kind of like the Lexus / Toyota thing. I felt that I was getting a really high level Toyota, while Sundance is the Lexus version.

Regretfully.....a Cal Spa Hawaiian, 450 gal. 8 years old.
Need I say more?

Jaccuzi 325. I was going to buy a Marquis, but This one came up for sale locally. It was only 6 months old and I got it for $2000. Smoking deal. I love the power of the jets. I will do a review once I have had it for a few more months.
-
Currently I have a Marquis Mirage 2004 model year. I change out every year or so and I am thinking about the Marquis Spirit will be my next one. I am done with bigger spas it is just me and the wife so a smaller works out great.
-
2004 Marquis Euphoria
Have had it 6 months. An amazing tub for one or two and very comfortabe with 4 (8 "seats" yet to have more than 4 in at one time). 2 cooldown seats with jet therapy and an overall unique diverter design.
Complete therapy from the toes to the head. It is used daily and has been a saving grace for neck/back therapy. Marquis has unfortunatly "discontinued" this model but continues to offer their Silver Anniversary version and soon to release the Epic (ciphered in this forum but known only among the camarilla).
-
1989 Hot Spring Sovereign. Plain. Absolutely NO BELLS. NO WHISTLES. 5 jets total. But still works great.
-
2004 tiger river bengal, nice basic tub. very efficient, costs about 15-20 a month and super quiet when its running.
-
Hei Hei ! We have a Watkins Solana TX. For our needs & likes its just fine. It is just my wife & I under a glass roofed sunroom in N. Fl For $ 3100 & 130 gal to heat we are very satisfied
-
Caldera Geneva Utopia - Pearl shell with Gray cabinet - spa glow lighting - 475 gals.
Absolutely love it - has since December 23rd - Merry Christmas to us !!!!!
-
I have a Marquis Journey that is about 4 years old. It has been due to go back to Marquis for about a year but I can't find anything that performs as well!
I’ve thought about changing it out all year and now am waiting to test the new D1 Californian and Marquis Epic.
-
Currently own a Dimension One,
Model: Chairman II, 6 person with lounger, 51 Jets, 2-4hp pumps. Ultra pure water care system.
This spa has the white ultralife shell and I must admit, it is easy to take care of.
We have had it for 5 month's and use it just about every day.
Operating cost are quite good considering the cold winter we had here in Ontario.

How much longer will this saga continue? It is moving slower than the plot line in a Soap Opera! :o

No kidding! However, considering the way just about everything else I do for myself is put on the back burner for the company it may never happen!!
-
I own a 2002 Sundance Optima with a bluegrass shell and real wood sierra cabinet. Its been a great addition to my deck and has been used almost every day in the past two and a half plus years.
-

I hope you stick around in the coming months and let us know how it goes. There are not a lot of long time BF owners here and if it the tubs are as great as they would appear to be, we would love to hear about it.
-
Jacuzzi J-330 5 person, with Lounger. Has blue granite shell with synthetic red wood skirt. Bought it at clearance sale last Feb. Absolutely love it.
-
I have a 2004 Coleman 706, Tahoe granite with the ash cabinet.
I love this spa! 53 jets 3-2.5 hp pumps, fiber optic lights inside and out, and the most comfortable seating I've ever experienced in a spa.
10 years ago I purchased the Coleman 411, which was the top of the line at that time. After selling it to my neighbor I purchased the 706 which is the top of the Coleman line now. WOW, it's amazing how far tubs have come in 10 years.
Spahappy :D

I don't think I've heard of an unhappy Coleman Customer. But no dealer within 95 miles of me still. Who wants to financially back me starting one up? ;D

04 Hotsprings Grandee,500gal bought in Oct and we still love it very much.

5' long approx 40 or so gallon apartment tub....
No jets unless its been a few hours after mexican food...
Had it for a couple days now.....
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Will actually start our quest for the spa here in a week or so now that we are in San Antonio!
We did look at our house (the foundation anyway...) and our yard looks WAY smaller now that the foundation is in there....I think that the spa may actually go in the grove of oaks that is the back part of the yard...I know that leaves will be a problem...any thoughts on how much of a problem?????

I have over 40 trees in my backyard and between the different species they are always losing their seeds, cotton, flowers, sticky seed pods, leaves, twigs, and branches.
My Coleman has a skimmer basket ( much like a skimmer system outdoor pools use) located on top of the filter. It's easy to get to and it catches nearly all of that type of debree so you don't have to fish it out of the filter pleats.
Not only will this make water maintenence easier, your filter will last longer because most of that stuff never even makes it into the filter to tear it up. ;)
Jacuzzi has a net in front of the filters and it's designed to do the same thing.
Spahappy :D

Thanks Spahappy....
I figured if we are careful with it...it should not be a problem...it would be kinda neat to have it in the center of this grove..natural privacy, mood lighting, and the center you can see straight up to the stars!
I think that all spas will prob have some sort of cleaning feature that might do for this situation....perhaps ill post on it...
Ok thread hijack over.... :)

04 Envoy by Hot Springs...Ivan took out our other tub, so we got a replacement. Love the tub..even though I don't fit the lounger very well. I have learned to adapt. Fits everyone else that doesn't have tree stumps for legs which would be 99.8 per cent of the world. I do float a little but cause I'm so light. Well, that what I keep telling myself. I know being slightly round has nothing to do with it either.
Oh my Gosh, I'm a teapot no wonder:}
-
We have a 2004 Caldera Geneva Utopia. First soak New Years Day (its been a wonderful year). Due for first water change waiting for some springlike weather. We went with the Sea Mist Opal and redwood cabinet.

Recently purchased a Marquis Spirit, small but powerful little tub! After all the horror stories I've read about initial delivery and start-up water issues, I was relieved and very happy to have found none of these bad things happening to mine, everything is hunky-dory in my new hot tub haven!

(http:// http://www.hydropoolhottubs.com/Hydropool.data/Components/hydropool/625/infoimgs/625.jpg)
It's minus 4 with big snow flakes coming down and I keep wandering outside in my bathing suit to a big empty spot where my tub should be. :-/

We do like the layout of our tub as one of the major features. There are usually 3 of us using it so we have plenty of room.
